Synopsis

The super elite troopers of the Sapient Congressional Union's armed forces, the ground pounders are the heavy armoured shock troops of the Union ground forces. Trained in special weapons, tactics and fielding the heaviest armour available, individually they are a force that can turn the tide of a fight. But in a squad, working together.. they can change the course of the whole battle. That is assuming of course that they do stick together. What can these highly trained operatives accomplish when they are attacked and scattered before the fight even begins? Their transport shot down, their brothers in arms lost amongst the ruins of a destroyed city. These heavy infantry must overcome all the odds against them before the time runs out, for an enemy force of terrible scale is amassing for one final assault. And they are caught right in the middle of a fight they cannot possibly win while on their own.
